Every MDP Seniors experience begins with a planning consultation designed around you. This is where we get to know your style, personality, interests, and vision for your session. We’ll talk through locations, outfits, overall vibe, and how you want your senior year remembered.
We also start with the end goal in mind. From albums and wall art to graduation announcements and digital images, we’ll help design a session that feels intentional from beginning to end.
For parents, this means less stress and more confidence knowing every detail is thoughtfully planned ahead of time.

1. The Planning Consultation

This is where the fun begins! Your session is designed to feel relaxed, confidence-boosting, and completely customized to you. Whether we’re shooting in downtown Minneapolis, out in nature at golden hour, by the lake, or incorporating sports, hobbies, or personal style into the session, our goal is always the same:
to create images that feel authentic and unforgettable.
Don’t worry if you feel awkward in front of the camera. Melissa will guide you through everything so you feel comfortable, confident, and natural every step of the way.

2. Session Day
Your experience in 3 steps
1-2 weeks after your session, it’s time for the big reveal! We’ll meet in the studio to go through your images together, carefully curated and edited to perfection. This is where you’ll see just how incredible you look and choose your favorite images for your custom-designed album, wall art, and prints. All orders are placed at this time.
Moms, this is the moment that gets emotional! These photos will live in your home, reminding you of this special time in your child’s life. And one day, they’ll flip through their album, showing their own kids how amazing they looked during their senior year.

Sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. We’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos.

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about three weeks of your wedding. At that time, we'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
